Who maintains the tool?

ASCII Art Generator is maintained under the saguiitay project account. It provides browser-based image conversion and FIGlet text banners, with examples you can copy before opening the editor.

For questions or bug reports, email itaysa@gmail.com. Describe the steps and browser version. Do not include private images, personal text or signed image URLs.

For advertising, use the separate Advertising inquiry subject. Both go to the same published project contact.

Privacy and data handling

Image and text conversion

A selected local file is read and converted in your browser, not sent to an application conversion server. Text banners are generated in the browser too. Choosing an image URL makes a request to that image host, which can receive your network address and the requested URL. Avoid private or signed URLs. Bundled examples are requested from this site.

Image preselection URLs are removed from the address bar and kept in tab memory for conversion. The original request can still appear in hosting logs or browser history before that protection runs. Reloading the cleaned address does not restore the selected image. Download your work before leaving.

Website analytics and advertising

The site uses Google Analytics; third-party network ads are currently disabled. The existing Google AdSense integration is pending inventory and privacy review; any approved network ads must wait until a useful output action. Analytics events describe page visits, conversion actions and engagement, including a session identifier and new/returning status. The application filters measured URLs and does not include input text or image URLs in its event fields. These protections are separate from image conversion and do not mean that the website or its service providers collect no personal data.

Advertising inquiry cards invite contact with the project; they are not network ads. Footer project links are separate project promotion.

Analytics scripts execute in this page and can access its inputs, selected files, rendered output and tab memory. Filtering our event fields does not sandbox vendor code. For confidential work, open the vendor-free image editor or vendor-free text editor before selecting a file or typing. These links reload the document without analytics or network ads. The opt-out stays in this tab across navigation and reloads; an unreadable tab preference also disables vendors. Restoring or duplicating a tab may retain the opt-out. This is not offline mode: site resources and image URLs still make requests.

Google services may use cookies and process device or network information. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Browser-local processing is not a promise about provider retention, consent settings or hosting logs. Contact the project with data-handling questions; avoid including sensitive source material.

What your browser stores

When storage is available, the site saves analytics session/visit values, theme and install-prompt preferences. Its service worker caches site resources for offline use. The app does not save your editor drafts or generated outputs for later recovery. The editor can keep selected settings in the URL when you choose that action; image data and typed text are excluded. You can also explicitly save, load or delete one settings slot per editor on this device. Images, URLs, filenames, input text, output, custom character sets and transparent-cell symbols are not saved in those slots. Edit this text and font transfers a gallery input in memory to the editor in the same tab, without saving a draft. You can clear this site's data through your browser settings; that removes local preferences and caches, not records held by external providers.

Image, text and artwork rights

Converting an image or text does not grant permission to reproduce it. Check the source material's license and any relevant trademark or font terms before sharing, especially for commercial use. Example logos do not imply endorsement by their owners. Emoji previews adapt Twemoji artwork under CC BY 4.0; preserve the artwork attribution when sharing those adaptations.

Bundled image and logo detail pages list source, creator, terms and preparation evidence beside the conversion-source link. Their reuse rights are currently UNKNOWN and project-owner review is pending. A local file or reproducible conversion is not a license. Do not treat these examples as a cleared asset library.
