ASCII Calendar Generator
Put a small month calendar in a README, release note or terminal planning note. Choose the month, year and first weekday, then copy the aligned text without placing the dates by hand.

Try February 2028: a leap-year month
The initial example starts on Monday. February 1 falls on Tuesday and February 29 also falls on Tuesday, so the dates occupy five week rows. Switch to Sunday first and generate again to move the weekday columns without changing the dates. Choose Copy as Markdown for a README, or Download TXT for a plain-text file.
Each line is exactly 20 ASCII columns, including trailing spaces. TXT uses LF line breaks and has no final newline. The title is centered, with any odd spare space on the right. English month names and two-letter weekday labels keep the result predictable. No current-day marker or color escape sequences are added.
Calendar rules and limits
A leap year is divisible by 4, except century years must also be divisible by 400: 2000 has February 29; 1900 and 2100 do not. This tool uses the proleptic Gregorian calendar even before its historical adoption. It does not reproduce local Julian calendars or the missing dates during regional calendar reforms. Dates are calculated without a clock or timezone, and the initial example is fixed rather than today's month.
This is a date layout, not an event planner: no appointments, holidays, reminders, week numbers, multi-month views or calendar-file import. For the established terminal-calendar task and the distinction between Gregorian and historical calendars, see the cal manual. This generator is an independent implementation, not a byte-for-byte clone of cal.
Keep a normal text heading describing the month where you publish it; the drawing is not an accessible calendar widget. Use the ASCII and Markdown table generator for a structured list of milestones, or the box generator for a note around several lines.
Calendar formatting runs in your browser. This tool does not save your selection or put it in links. Export before leaving. Site analytics, storage and hosting are separate. See the README and CLI guide for related publishing workflows.
